Chicken Pakora | Chicken Pakoda Recipe

Chicken Pakora or Chicken Pakoda is a popular Indian snack that is made by marinating chicken pieces in a spicy batter and deep-frying them. Here’s a recipe for Chicken Pakora:

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the gram flour, rice flour, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually add water and mix well to form a smooth batter of thick consistency.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the batter and mix well to coat them evenly.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Drop the chicken pieces into the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown.
  6. Drain the chicken pakoras on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
