Kaleji Masala, also known as Liver Curry, is a popular dish in South Asian cuisine. Here’s a recipe for Kaleji Masala:
Ingredients:
- 500g liver, cut into small pieces
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and cook until they are soft and golden brown.
- Add the ginger paste and garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and pulpy.
- Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
- Add the liver pieces to the skillet and stir well to coat with the masala. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liver is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
