Kaleji Masala | Liver Curry

Kaleji Masala, also known as Liver Curry, is a popular dish in South Asian cuisine. Here’s a recipe for Kaleji Masala:

Ingredients:

  • 500g liver, cut into small pieces
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and cook until they are soft and golden brown.
  3. Add the ginger paste and garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and pulpy.
  5. Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  6. Add the liver pieces to the skillet and stir well to coat with the masala. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liver is cooked through.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
