Malai Chicken Tikka Recipe

Malai Chicken Tikka is a popular Indian appetizer that features succulent pieces of chicken marinated in a creamy and flavorful mixture of yogurt, cream, and spices. Here’s a recipe for Malai Chicken Tikka:

Ingredients:

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup hung curd (thick yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 tbsp ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Skewers
  • Lemon wedges and chaat masala for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the hung curd, cream, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and mix well to coat with the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil. Brush with oil.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned on the outside.
  6. Remove from the oven and garnish with lemon wedges and chaat masala.
  7. Serve hot with mint chutney and onion rings.
